Dr. Nitin Kumar

Dr. Nitin Kumar holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from IIT(ISM), Dhanbad and has over six years of experience in multidisciplinary areas of Environmental Sustainability and Management. Dr. Kumar’s research expertise aligns in the areas of solid waste management, green hydrogen production, biogas generation through anaerobic digestion, and conversion of biomass to biofuel. He also interestingly focuses on carbon accounting, ESG, water and wastewater treatment, and pollution remediation.

Dr. Kumar has significantly contributed to research including the development of a patented rapid conversion technology for the treatment of organic waste. His publications in leading journals address topics like waste management, water treatment, and nutrient recovery etc. He has managed multiple research and consultancy projects, including the design and installation of waste management systems at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, design of wastewater treatment systems for industries, installation of high infiltration rate rainwater harvesting systems etc. Dr. Kumar has received numerous recognitions, including government scholarships for his studies and awards for his contributions in the area of Environmental Management.
