Dr. Diplesh Gautam

Dr. Diplesh Gautam is an accomplished academic and industry professional with a educational foundation and extensive experience. He holds both a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India. With experience in mechanobiology and dynamics, he has made significant contributions to the field, particularly in mechanical microscopy of cancer cells. His current research focuses on the mechanical diagnosis of cells and lab-on-chip devices.
With over 7 years of experience in academia and more than 3 years in the industry, Dr. Diplesh Gautam brings a rich blend of practical and theoretical expertise to his role as an Assistant Professor at BIMM, SBUP Pune.
Dr. Gautam’s industrial experience includes working in operations and maintenance at Jaypee Himachal Cement Plant, coupled with contributions to R&D at IFB Global. His diverse professional background enhances his teaching, where he has led courses in Strength of Materials, Kinematics, and Dynamics of Machines, Mechanical Vibration, Operations Management, Design Thinking, and Product Design for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
